What we do and who we are.
The Enterprise Collective advances the intersection where creatives and the arts, and commerce, culture and community meet through collaborative development, work space-place options and providing a safe place for the facilitation of ideas and actions that foster creative/artistic expression and economic sustainability across generations. Additionally, we utilize connections to resources and create partnerships that target collective positive outcomes.
The Enterprise Collective collaborates at Sanctuary Art Gallery and Shoppe and Sanctuary Spaces, connected spaces located in the Bedford Stuyvesant area of Brooklyn, New York. We are creatives, artists, professionals, retirees, crafts people, skilled and unskilled, entrepreneurs, steady and less than steady earners and individuals seeking to nurture personal & artistic growth. We promote, vend and network on Saturday’s and “To Be Announced” alternative/additional dates.
For the two years the Enterprise Collective has opened it’s vending initiative to the community. Several artists & entrepreneurs have seized the opportunity to participate at no fee to sell their services and products. Our vending gatherings have also brought out local musicians as well as long time residents and new comers. Local Blues favorite, Henry Sease and the Midnight Fire Band and other musicians frequently perform at our Saturdays Pop Up.
The Enterprise Collective partners with Sanctuary Art Gallery and Shoppe in it’s participation in the 3nd Annual Bed Stuy Art Walk, the brain child of the office of Council Member Robert Cornegy. Through the Bed Stuy Art Walk Enterprise Collective Artists and so many others have captured the spotlight and have contributed to preserving the Arts culture of Bedford Stuyvesant.
Our networking work is focused on casting a wide net to capture our individual stories and collective history, culture, knowledge, skills and abilities to create pathways for implementation and presentation.
Networking also includes the use of social media and technology to further build community in a virtual setting, social entrepreneurship and career opportunities.
Our workspace place initiative in collaboration with Sanctuary Spaces and Sanctuary Art Gallery and Shoppe provide holiday co-working vending space from October through December 2017 along with featuring new exhibits and programming.
